This is Di's pride and joy and is a gorgeous 2012 Lotus Elise S.

New to the SuperCars stable, it's the ideal road and track day toy. The Supercharged and Intercooled engine has been upgraded with all the go faster bits. The factory ECU has been reflashed and the Lotus produced 265 hp at the wheels on the all new Hub Dyno!

TARGA GREAT BARRIER REEF 2019

For those of you who haven't experienced the thrill of participating in a Targa event, put it on the top of your bucket list! Whether it's as a Competitor, or in the Tour, like us, you'll have a blast!

Our four-day road trip in 'Big Bertie' (aka the Touareg), towing the 'lil Rocket' on our car trailer was certainly interesting on the infamous Bruce Highway - let's just say that frequent stops were required to check the straps due to the bumpy ride.

Well, that wasn't the end of bumpy roads as we were in for a surprise once the event began - with a mixture of amazing hill climbs into the Atherton Tablelands some days and narrow backroads with gravel and potholes thrown in to keep us on our toes, let's just say that choosing the 500/450 springs didn't make for a comfy ride! And there were a few choice words from Di on some of the dips he he!

As you'll see from the video below, the Tour has now changed due to having Rally Safe devices in the cars and being speed limited to 130km/hr (only third gear for the lil Rocket), and yes Di did get done for 'speeding' on a number of runs he he! Each group also has to go off together in a 'rolling start', which is fine except for the gravel being thrown up from the car infront of you! Luckily she had the lotus covered in a clear wrap - put that on your list if you're considering entering.

Certainly an interesting experience and spending some extra time to explore the Great Barrier Reef and all the Waterfall walks made it worth the trip.
